morning routine

how you start your day sets the foundation for mindfulness. you have time if you desire to make the time for it . . . even waking five to ten minutes earlier makes all the difference. here is a running list of things I do to lead a purposeful, zen day.

essentials

buddhify meditation right when I wake up

make the bed; it’s the first thing you accomplish for the day

skincare routine + rose quartz roller

yoga for at least 10-20 minutes (do what feels good for your body, or follow a video) 


journaling 


meditation passage in journey to the heart


tall glass of lemon water (all day) & carry a refillable bottle with you, at least 20 ounces


green tea/matcha (hot) - I wait until after 11 am to have my iced coffee


nourishing breakfast with lots of fruit (I make a smoothie every morning - blended fruit is better for digestion)


read vogue (or any other form of reading material) instead of scrolling on phone 

take a few minutes to learn a new language with duolingo
