pool meditation

one of my favorite ways to get movement in during the summer is going for a swim. there are no distractions, and you do not realize how tired you are until you get out. it is truly so peaceful and meditative — until you start to get too deep into your thoughts. whenever i start to find myself in that rabbit hole of to do lists and hypothetical scenarios, I come back to this check-in and it works every single time.

senses

what does the water feel like on my skin? temperature, soft.

what does the water sound like? any other sounds?"

what does the sunlight refraction look like? does the water sparkle?

mind

“the water is supporting me and I am weightless.”

“my thoughts exist outside the water.”

intrusive thoughts leave the circle of capillary waves infinitely.

active meditation

count your laps and think of the number until the next lap.

this is a perfect time to generally think of your life goals or something specific you want to manifest. imagine that goal at each end of the pool (or portion of the ocean/body of water). every movement closer to the end of the lap is you moving closer to your goal. each lap completed is a foundational element and confidence to achieve your goals.

try this out and comment how it made you feel afterward!
