ahh … the season of sunshine. those first few warm days feels incredible on your skin, as though it can finally relax — but this doesn’t give you the ok to completely skip out on skincare. since there is naturally a lot more humidity in the air, you’ll want to lighten up on your skincare + beauty routine while still protecting it. here is a skin ritual you can practice over the next few months.

morning

  1. cleanse with a lightweight, water based cleanser or a foaming option.

  2. depuff and brighten your eyes with the matcha + rose supercharged eye serum (that doubles as a rose quartz roller!)

  3. hydrate with your skin vitamins via matcha + rose vitamin c glow serum. vitamin c is imperative all year round, but especially so in the summer to prevent hyperpigmentation that comes with longer daylight hours and the strong uv index. along with the extra boost of antioxidants from each ingredient in the serum (especially matcha!) you will have that extra layer of protection against free radicals.

  4. if you still want to apply a moisturizer, opt for a primarily water-based formula.

  5. sunscreen is also a must all 365+ days of the year, so opt for a broad spectrum, reef (and skin) safe zinc-based spf.

  6. omit foundation all together and opt for concealer as desired.

  7. switch out any other cream beauty products for powder.

night

  1. double cleanse with a cleansing balm massaged onto dry skin and removed with a wet reusable cotton pad.

  2. follow with your regular cleanser.

  3. exfoliate with aha 2-3x a week + retinol the other days. here’s a quick mask as an option!

  4. omit any heavy night moisturizers and eye creams and nourish your skin with the matcha + rose replenishing serum and the matcha + rose supercharged eye serum.
