life changing tip from my dentist
at my most recent dentist appointment, we were discussing the role of mindfulness when dealing with tmj/jaw pain. my typical daily practice includes unclenching my jaw, dropping my tongue from the roof of my mouth, and deep breathing, but this line really stuck with me:
“never let your [top and bottom] teeth touch.”
genius right?! even if your mouth is closed, your teeth don’t have to touch each other. I have been conscious of this the past few weeks, and I have to say my jaw is at 100%.
