minimalist makeup

a very Parisian approach to makeup . . . keep it simple and only use what makes you feel beautiful on the inside.

prep

  1. foundation

  2. concealer

    • with: nars radiant creamy concealer — I wear vanilla.

    • how: swipe product from the brush onto index finger, apply to areas as a touch-up, and lightly dab and blend with middle finger.

  3. blush

    • with:

    • how: with the cloud paint or stick, apply a small amount onto middle finger and seamlessly blend from mid-cheekbones up toward the corner of the outer eye on both cheeks; with the powder, take the same route but with a blush brush.

  4. highlighter

    • with: glossier haloscope — I wear quartz / moonchild glow kit.

    • how: apply from the highest points on brow bone to cheek bone. for glossier use ring finger; for moonchild use either finger or a small brush.

  5. eyes

  6. mist

  7. lips

side notes

  • depending on the day, I might use only concealer and blush, other days the whole routine — I always factor in my schedule and do what I’m feeling that day.

  • always wash brushes / beautyblender after each use. you can use baby shampoo for the brushes and bar soap or beautyblender cleanser for the bb.

  • misting with avant-atlas matcha + rosewater skin mist is the best way to wake up and refresh the face at any time of day.

  • for foundation and concealer, the best way to find your shade is to test it on your neck.
